The previous poster makes the assumption its best to keep the mid as low as possible and the tweets up high. This can be true if done right, but if its not done right your point source is at risk.

Be careful. Make sure your component sets crossover has a way to attenuate the tweeter. You just might need it!

its not an assumption, i dont assume thing i do alot of reading and its whats most commonly done by the do it yourselfer, its easy and it works, and we're not all sound geniuses, and yes its how i have mine setup, but i dont feel like ripping my door panels apart to optimise my sound imaging.

themeaningoflife, components usually sound better, but you need to purchase adapters for our doors for the mid-woofer, and you can install new better tweeters in the door pods its actually fairly simple just takes time.
