To overcome this you need to attenuate the tweeter. Otherwise you can pick out where the tweeter is and where the mid is.

Placing the tweeter close to the mid creates a good point source. Coaxs are obviously a good point source.

So before you mount your tweeters up high permanent, play around with the placement some. Use double sided tape. Get a comp set that has adjust ability. Not all do.


yes i understand that, but my point was ease of install using the stock locations. i dont want to cut new holes in my doors, so i use the factory spots, in the rear i have my mids and tweeters sitting within 1 inch of each other.
