"Hand made" sounds good.
The truth is, I messed up the project every way you can think of, but still managed to come up with a good functional part. I used styrofoam to form the inside shape of the tube, then laid the carbon fiber around it, and extracted the styrofoam after it cured ("sacrificial mold"). The original idea was to use all Kevlar fiber, but I forgot to buy the special shears needed to cut it. Then I ran out of carbon fiber and still had to use the one Kevlar strip. Worst of all, I didn't use mold release compound, so a lot of sanding had to be done on the inside. A similar piece needs to be constructed to connect down through into the filter area.
