O the fun begins
I put it in and felt an instant improvement (stock for stock) but about 2 miles down the road the RPMs jumped up (1500 to 4000
) put the car in netural and tapped the gas and it went away, for about 3 miles. Then it jumped again, so since I didn't want to jump on the highway like this I pulled over and turned the car off. Then it wouldn't restart and no fuel was going to the motor

Pop the hood and unplug the MAF and the car started right up with a very rich fuel smell, rev, die, rev, die---stall. Plug it back in and the car starts right up.
OK put the car in drive and
BANG!!!
WTF was that?!?! Put it in reverse and BANG!!!
So no tranny parts are on the ground and I drive to work the rest of the way, chriping tires under normal accel.
Get to work, call the mech and explain. He tells he the car is relearning the new MAF. Drive 60 MPH or faster and the car may reset itself, if it dones't bring it in.
After work, a bit of a hard start (is was cold out) but turned over and no problems at all
Good fuel curve, good EGT, good RPM @ 70 (same as descreened) get on it and it goes
