You want me to open that can of worms for you, or do you want to just show the screen shots of the opened email, forward the originals and maybe post telephone records? Nobody was questioning your integrity, they were simply offering you a chance to back your word up with solid proof. We're on the internet. These people don't know anything about the real you. This is an important event to them. Of course there's going to be some skepticism
I'd expect someone to check up on me if I was handling something that was this important to everyone involved, with this much total money riding on the deal.
Just show em and shut em all up, old buddy, just like we used to do in the old days.
