You should get hub rings no matter what the bolt pattern of your rims is. It has nothing to do with the bolt pattern, but the size of the centre bore of your rims. You want to make sure it is the hub centre bearing the weight, not the lugs.

This is absolutly true for aftermarket wheels, where they have to make the center bore a little bigger so their wheels will fit on many different types of cars. You don't need them for stock wheels becuase they were bored specifically for your car.
