I had the same thing happen 2 days ago because I crossed 2 wires trying to solder a bulb in the car. It was a fuse on the passenger side that was fried. I think its the 10 amp fuse that is located in the "A" spot. Look in your service manual under "fuse" and under "passenger side" then look for the location of the "A" fuse.
Remember when checking your fuse that there are 3 places where you have fuses on an Alero, One on the Driver side, one on the passenger side (Both behind the cover where the door meets the dash) and one in the engine area.
