I think it's a really good idea and great experiecne to do something like that. Esp since a 3400 at a u-pull-it will run about $125 with them pulling it for you

A BBO which is all cast iron weighs about 600. The bottom half of the 3400 is cast iron, but the top end is all alluminm (sp)
