i don't think a bad amp ground would kill your lights... thats almost always the fuse on the top left of the passanger fuse panel.

unfortunately, it could also be a short in the system, so you'd have to take a voltmeter(with a continuity check) and trace wires... just follow the wiring diagrams for each light and several cases of beer.
