You stated that you had a set of components and your stock tweeters. How did you wire these to your head unit. Are you using a monsoon amp or straight off of the radio. You will need to be carefull how you wire the tweeters. If you do it wrong then the impedance will change and your crossover will run at different frequencies. In order to ensure that you do not change the crossover frequencies you should wire the tweeters after the crossover. NOT before getting to the crossover. Another thing. Componants should only be wired in series. If you place them in parallel the frequency will once again change and hurt the speakers. Don't be afraid of the load on the factory deck. All of our factory decks (we make them for toyota, and GM) are 2 ohm stable.
