I don't know about having an extra cut key in my car even if it is well hidden. A theft has a way of finding things even in the best hidden spots, I guess it all depends on how bad you want remote start. I've never had a kenwood deck but the kenwood amp I had which was used lasted me for 3yrs with no problems at all, and I think it would have lasted more if I didn't mess with it..over all I loved that kenwood product. It all depends on what you are doing I guess. If you are looking to push your equipment then maybe, maybe not. Look for reviews about the product in question, and call around to see what others think. Thats what I do about everything before I buy anything!
