Radio isn't working! What'd I break?

Probably screwed this up myself

I bought a GM GPS Radio for the Alero and I've been working on getting it set-up so that it wroked correctly

I was almost there, but the problem was that the radio wouldn't power down at all with the key out and the door opened and shut (like gettting out of the car.

The GPS radio doesn't use an ign wire, it uses a Serial Data Buss line, a VSS wire and a Constant 12 volt

To slove the problem off not turning off, I hooked the battery wire on the one hardness, to the ign wire on the other buss. (My Alero uses a 32 pin and the GM GPS uses a 24 pin and a small 12 pin for the amp, which I don't have)

All the lights came on, on the dash, SES, SVS, and Trac off and the car would not start, and the radio didn't work. So no problem I changed the wires back and now, no radio at all., not even the stock one. It lights up, but no clock and no power. Fuse is fine, gauge pod works also which is hooked into the radio hardness
