there's actually a good howto embedded in someones awesome interior overhaul but I don't have my computer so I don't have the bookmark. It's similar to cutting the wire, goes something like this. (This is useless by the way cuz I don't have any details.)
Start car, messure resistance between 2 wires, (messure twice, cut once), cut wire. wire in POT (Potentiomter {sp} Variable resistor) in the range he mentioned, after tuning it to the right resistance, this varries by car/key. Be a happy cabbage, move beer to the "chaser" catagory.
