He had a Bosch Style top post charging Alternator. when we installed it, We failed to notice that the bar was SLIGHTLY touching the rubber boot, about a half inch away internally from the actual post. when we started the car, the engine shifted and the post poked out and shorted... i replaced the Alternator, and the cable is fried elsewhere. i will be going down tomorrow after work to run a new line, the fusible link on the line burnt out, causing the car to not charge.
