I tossed in 5.25's and I mounted them directly to the door panels. I had to use the plastic for the grille- but removed the grille part.
Caulked the piss out of the open areas. Man it sounds GOOD.
In the past I made some angled adapters. They came out good but didnt seal the door panel correctly/good enough. So my mid bass wasnt that terrific.
My car is a GL and as far as Im aware all Alero's came with 4x6 in the front. Some have tweets some dont.
Better off without the tweets so when you do modify you have a clean slate.
