A 3/8 drive breaker bar works well. I have a short one, it only comes up to even with the alternator pulley.

I did buy a tool that everybody is taking about, took all of 3 seconds to put the belt back on after the water pump swap. Litterly 3 seconds

I carry a small toolbox in the car and a tool kit that I bought at Advance Auto. If I break down, I can fix the car on the spot. It's happened a few times. The worst was the #3 plug popping out, with my son in the car, on a holiday. Lucky I broke down and was able to limp to an auto parts store
