I know, I didn't have anything else I could think of to use. There was enough of a gap between the door and the trim to put a tiny flat head on the back of the trim and pull away from the door. I did that and didn't touch or scratch the doors on my car.
Also I wouldn't recommend using a flathead unless you have steady hands lol
