I don't care about that...take a extra piece of wire, unplug the connector from the temperature sensor, put one end into each of the two pins and turn the key on...then do the fans come on...my car got about half way between 3/4 and red one time since I owned it and it was because the temp sensor was bad and not telling the fans to kick on...We jumped the plug and it showed the fans worked when the circuit was completed, replaced the sensor and haven't had that issue since...the best thing about it is that it is free trouble shooting to figure out if a $30 part is part of a problem you are thinking will be much more expensive
