I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago. A road I need to use is uphill hill at both ends. A few inches of snow cover. Traction control not giving any help. Turned off the traction control and started "gassing on it". At times it would lose power and I would have to work the throttle to get the power back. I though for sure I would trash the motor or trans. May have hurt the transmission, not sure if the traction control works anymore, but other than that it seems ok.
