Hey everyone,

I need some help with two problems with my car. First off, does anyone know how I can get the license plate holder off the front bumper of my car without causing to much damage?
[attachmentid=10955]
I took two pairs of screws out already, but the holder is still being held on by what appears to be two rivets.
[attachmentid=10954]
Any suggestions?

My second problem concerns the paint on my hood. When I purchased the car the previous owner had a bra on it which caused a number of bad nicks in the paint. The dealer painted over them but did a really bad job. The nicks are now gone but the hood feels like sandpaper and in one spot there's a bubble on the hood. I will post pictures in the following post of the hood. What could I do to repair the hood? Thanks.

Bob

I would sand down the rough spots and feather the edges, then repaint it. If the hood isn't in great shape just get the whole thing sprayed.

Forgot to tell you, just drill out the rivets on the license plate frame, but be careful to nut punch through to the bumper. Then just pull off the license frame and either pull out the rest of the rivet that remains, or tap it out with a rubber mallet.
