4-2-1 Or 4-1

K, I been racking my head over this issues lately and debating which path to take. For a better streetibly drive a 4-2-1 header would be good but a 4-1 head is best for track. The cost is almost the same, but a 4-1 is good for turbo setup, which i want to do in the future. [bold]So in the same boat which path would you take?[/bold]

Current at the house,
use block (00 pontaic grand am)
new 2.3 oil pump
Secret cams (used)
new water pump (Orielly)
new timing chain kit (Orielly)
new timing cover (Dealer )
new valvetrain (TRS)

On order
086 head

Future mod hopefully by november 12, 2006 if Justin still has this kit
Garrett GT30R (aka GT3037) ball bearing, T3 flange, V-band set up for external gate, .82 A/R turbine .63 A/R compressor, 4" inlet

I'd say go with the 4-2-1 jsut for the streetable issues, but the 4-1 sounds nice too

stan's was the only place that made a 4-2-1 and they went for $650. were as the 4-1 header will cost you $200.

the power difference is not something you'll actually be able to tell unless you dyno it.

If u r going to do a turbo upgrade i would go 4-1. Less headaches and costs in the future.

If you're going turbo, don't get a header at all. You'll need to replace it with a turbo manifold as soon as you decide to go turbo. No sense in getting a part only to replace it shortly after.
