When i was done and was heading down to the hardware store to pick up a few items the car would not start it just up and did this and i checked the battery and its fine, when i try and start the car i can hear the fuel pump start and I dont think its the alternator im really stumbed on this the car worked GREAT then up and wont start when i crank it over you can hear it trying to start my proformence exhuast comes on for a sec or two then she dies out and keeps trying to start again.

I had that problem too...since the passlock is part of the pcm it kills the car..ripping out the stock alarm fixed the problem for me

Sry to be off topic a bit, but I'm wondering if the security device is standard in all Aleros or if it was an option?
And if it is to happen one day, is it something that is broken or its just the comp that blows a bubble and decide that at this moment, he won't let the car start. then you do the "10-min.-sitting-at-on-trick" and its fine again for the future starts?

Ya mine does this about 20 times a year, I leave key on and notice security light is flashing, so I think $$^&*(&%%$ I am gonna be late for work again!! I shut the key all the way off, then all the way on but not turning it over, I then leave the keys here for 12 minuites, or until the lights stops its thing and dissappears. I then turn the key all the way off again and then try starting it and voila!! Plug the radar detector in and race to work before I am late!!
