Pacesetter Exhaust
I figured i would put a review here for people who search for exhausts on the 3400. It says on the website that it only fits the 2.2 and 2.4 BUT IT DOES FIT THE 3.4 TOO!!!!!!
Store/Site purchased:www.carstuff.com
Cost/Shipping:$268/FREE shipping
Store service, contact, delivery, problems, props:Service was excellent, i contacted them once in an email and they got back to my by the next day. DELIVERY WAS ONLY 2 DAYS!!!! no problems
Initial product impressions, quality:It looks great on the car, and the quality seems pretty good too, i guess i will have to wait and see.
Instructions, good, bad, none, etc: The instructions were OK, the instructions were for all cars, but if your putting this on yourself, then you most likely know what your doing so you dont need directions, but it does come with them!
Installation notes, easy, hard, PITA:MEDIUM, the only part i had trouble with was getting the old exhaust off, it was hard because the bolts that hold the old one on were all rusted on there, so i had to shave off the heads of the bolts.
If not self installed, cost of installation:NOTHING
Performance, appearance opinions:I havent noticed too much of a difference in performance, the appearance is great, i love it.
Any other thoughts about the product: for the price you cant beat it!!! it sounds AWESOME, nice low sound at lower RPM's and when i step on it, it isnt that loud. On the highway its kind of loud too. But i love it!!

I ordered the same kit from the same website on Feb. 16th, 07' -
I ordered it and got a confirmation email, two weeks later i contacted them asking where the tracking number is, they didnt know, a week later, still didnt know, a week after that, they cancel the order and i end up re - placing the order and see if it works, well, a week later i contacted them and asked what was up, they said "you'll get a number in 1 - 2 buisness days." ... 4 days later, im told they never had the item in stock, and id recieve a refund. shortly after they removed it from their website.

yes it will. I had to convince billy of this like three different times. The catback exhaust routing is the same on this car no matter which engine you have.

Ill trade you for a Calculus exam .... in other news I just had this Pacesetter Exhaust installed... and omg i love it.
Seriously. If you have 300 bucks, buy it. Now. Ok so anyway yeah it looks pretty good the tims are nice, the sound is great, nice deep roar at low rpms then gets a little quieter at higher ones, the engine noise from the CAI kinda takes over at that point. Performance wise, there is a small difference and only at full throttle... you can feel it pull a bit harder once u hit 4500 rpms... anyway, I also have the PCM... like my sig says, so that probably has an effect too. So.. go buy it already!!! More Pacesetter Aleros FTW!!!!

I got my exhaust system, AND the refund LOL.
They gave me the run around for a month and a half, so i finally gave up on them, then last monday, my refund arrived, and about the exact same time, the kit arrived on the front door. i was happy, and an hour later, it was on the car!
Pictures soon!

Alamomotorsports is where i got my exhaust from, took less time to ship than their expected time, arrived in great shape. Compared to the huge mess with autopartswarehouse.com and their seemingly endless list of affiliate sites, getting it from alamo was amazing. I spoke to them on the phone, they made sure it was in stock, sent a few confirmation emails to me, and even talked with a guy who has a Grand Am lol.
Overall, from my experience I would say yes, they are really the only other ones i found with the exhaust for a reasonable price...
