Foglight mount....

How hard is it to remove the foglight mount?

Mine is broken on the right side, and if I find one at a junkyard I need to know how to remove it.

very easy...

two screws/bolts on the diagonal on each.. its not the thumb turn either.. that aims them..

easy to unscrew, hard to get out of the pocket they are in.. it took me a coulple of minutes to puzzle them out.. only one way to pull out of the hole..

Not hard at all.. about 15 minute job for each.. I think they are 10 mm.. I could be mistaken.. (Anyone confirm??? )

Is it your mount that's broken or the foglight itself?

That could be a bit harder to do if it stripped the threads.

Even easier, remove the headlight and you have great access to the fog light assembly.

Did you get this figured out yet? Cause this post is something the other replies didn't address.

That would be the bumper support. The foglight mounts bolt up to it with 2 bolts each, but it's bolted to the car with at least 8 large nuts. And if it's cracked I would have to assume something very large hit it (or that it hit something very large). I hope it's just the foglight mount that's broken.

I have the same problem. A raccoon took out my passenger side foglight and busted the bracket. Of course the front tire then took out the raccoon.

Is it easy to find a replacement or should I just replace both foglights with aftermarket?

Should be able to find a replacement at a salvage yard. You'll probably have to get the light with it, and they might even make you buy both sides, but if you don't need the driver side lamp, I'll take it!

re-bar is the correct name for the long black thingy lol
fog light is held on by 2 10mm self taping bolts into the re-bar, the energy absorber sits on top of the rebar, so removing the headlight ya might get at it , or remove the 7mm bolts at the bottom of the bumper and remove the clips on the side of the bumper 2 more 7mm bolts inside the fender liner, should be enough room with the fender liner down and out of the way
