It's no big deal. If you're running stock, the most you'll get is a split to a full second chirp (2 secs with the e-brake up). Be glad your ETS is malfunctioning. Keeps ya from shortening the life of your tires and tranny.

Hey 2.2

Did you lift up your shift panel and look to see if the clip was plugged in?

You should be able to do it. It is easier in a manual car as well to do. My last set of tires got a farewell from me.

Turn the traction control off. Set the e-brake really tight (if you can get the rear wheels over a curb is even better) and p[ush the gas down slowly.

Don't hold it too long, no more than 15 seconds

How to do a burnout..
1) get a friend
2) have him stand in front of the car and push backwards
3) floor it
If all works right u should a a big cloud of smoke. and a dead friend.

lol i remember my first trannsmission... i had avs es100 tires (great by the way) and the back would hold pretty well so sometimes if i just floored it it would spin both or if u want pull the ebrake and hit the gas jus a lil till u feel it like move foward and the back stop n drop a lil then floor it. many a ppl coulnt see the green light i saw lol. ETS buton was always off keeps the weels from spinning

Eh, a couple times I lit em up around a corner or something, but going from a stand still I'd set the Ebrake, and even hold the break while giving slight gas to give it a little more launch, then floor it.
Stupid, yes, spectacular, noooooo. All mine would do was drag the rear tires around locked up, lol.

More than I can say for the Park Ave though :P

Oh yea, I can remember one time I was going up a steep hill from a boatlanding when it was raining and I tried it. That actually worked really good and stayed in place, but when I tried it later it just dragged them tired again. Ohhh well.

I look at it this way. E-braking is Burnouts 101. A good burnout is when you have little to no resistance at all and wheels spin just from the sheer fact that the wheels are spinning so fast, they can't catch up. That's a thing of beauty. Unfortunately, many hours of wrench time have to be put in for an Al to accomplish it.
