garmin vs. tom tom

well, my mom has a tom tom 1 3rd generation and i just bought the garmin nuvi 200. so far it seems wayyy more complicated then the tom tom and just in general seems like the extra 30$ from the tom tom was a waste. what are your opinions?

I've never played around with a tom tom, but I like my Nuvi 360.

around here, tomtom wins cuz it comes with standard with canadian maps. garmin does not.

My Garmin said it had all of North America. Of course, I haven't been close to a border yet. The POI is a little out of date, but that'll happen with any model that isn't brand new. I know you can get updates.

I just like it because you can change the car icon. I found a MINI that looks just like mine.

Why didnt you buy them from me! You live in the same town for god sakes! lol. Tomtoms tend to be easier to use. But i guess it all depends on your preferences. For the price, you gotta go with the 3rd edition over the nuvi (both currently at $199)
