New....I guess?
Sup guys, I guess I signed up here a while back when my 01 Alero (2.2L Sedan) was my main driver... I gave up on it and bought a couple Nissan Sentra's (1.8 XE first, then bought a 2002 SE-R Spec V). Just got a good deal on a 2.4L Coupe, and I was thinking about picking it up. Couple of questions though:
- OSV body kit, have any molds/kits been made yet? Any pictures?
- Has anybody attempted/completed an engine swap? (i.e. 2.0L Turbo or SC from Cobalt, or crate engine)
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for n-body's, but the fact they are rather difficult to mod put me off. I guess an engine build could be in order...
Anywho, think I'll stick around for a while this time and see what kind of progress has been made in the scene since I left.

we currently have an osv group buy taking place. the first and probably last. search for OSV and you'll find the 8 bajillion threads about it.
and if your thinking about modding the 4cyc ionC2 and DOHCtuner are the two current engine modders of that caliber. that i know of. we might have a few others around who just aren't posting as much.
i'm pretty sure, ion just put a cobalt SC on his car....

I guess I'll throw some more q's out there then:
- Do any manufacturers make conrods, low cr pistons, crankshafts (doubt it), sleeves, cams, valvetrain components, etc? If so, can I get some sites?
- I know us Nissan guys had a little trouble with NATS (anti-theft system) when using piggy-back fuel managment systems (keeping the original gauges working...), does the Aleros anti-theft system have similar issues (I'm assuming it's chip-in-key...)

similar. we have passlock. its a step above chip in key systems. i can't explain exactly how it works, but the info is on site somewhere.
and for all those other parts, i'm no engine guy, so i really don't have a clue as to what exactly your looking for. i know milzymotorsports.com makes parts for the 3.4L... i'm not sure who does for the 2.4

Spilner321 has his turbo LD9, too. Oldsman's is blinged out.
There's tons of parts available for the 2.4L. You can find em in a wide array of places. (Eagle, Wiseco, Venolia, JE, TurboTechRacing.com, CarCustoms.net, j-body.org members, pfyc.com, etc.)
If Naich would give me the DAMN FTP LOGIN INFO I could update the alero upgrades site to have all information on as many mods as possible and where to buy them.
