convertable alero
kind of a wierd question.. can someone photoshop me a picture of a 2 door convertable alero, and not that "special ed" lookin ragtop one, im curious to see what it would like, and i know alot of u on here have "sweet photoshop skills" thanx alot

it was a manufactured concept, i guess. one of a kind, "cali edition" i believe. made it to a few car shows i believe...

i still like it... was drivin home from work on the frewway, passed a convertable and thought... I can do that same thing with a saws all, but i wanted to know what it looked like first ... I'll post pics of my progress

hahah. being a unibody car, its really hard to. you cut the top off and the rest of the body looses alot of support/rigidity. You have to reinforce frame on the sides if you want to even think about doing that.
its been talked about alot, and no-one has ever duplicated it. closes we have is i think richie (aftermath alero) with an aftermarket ragtop sunroof.

That's right.
The car didn't have a top. I have a pic of it somewhere. It was made as a concept but never produced. It had an actual VIN, but unknown if it was road worthy due to a weakened body due to no roof, which unibody cars rely on

or you could, build a subframe and hide it with some side skirts. That way the car can support its self still and you wont have to worry about it folding like a paper crane.

..or... it'll fall apart. there would be nothing to hold up the metal on the sides of the car. all the support would be gone.
