Tweeters
Ok so i have an 02 Alero, with 6 speakers.. 2 tweeters in the door, 4x6 in door, and 6x9 in rear.
Now my Tweeters are blown, so i need to get new ones.. but what i want to do, is add a set of tweeters to the arm rests on the doors, by the locks and crap.. so now will i need crossovers for this? that would go into the other tweeters?
Anyone good with audio can answer this.. im sure it can be done, its just a matter how.

best bet, get a good set of component speakers (usually come with tweeters and a crossover) then run them off an amp.

Well, Tweeters usually have a built in passive crossover, so you dont need to worry much about the crossover. Your location however, does not sound very good. I would put them somewhere where they are both pointing kind of to the passengers. A friend of mine has a grand am, and he has them on the plastic that is to the inside the car, where the side view mirrors are. They sound pretty good there, kind of loud though.

"i just reused the stock locale"
Stock location on our cars is HORRIBLE for imaging.
Sound is always an opinion. The best thing to do is get some double sided stick tape, and try different locations until you find the sound you like most. Then go from there.

When I decide to do the tweeters Im going to probaly put them where they are in the trailblazer, on the pillars or in the tahoe, on the dash. Idk yet.

Stock location isnt whats horrible, its the aiming.
Tweeters are best off-axis. meaning you dont want them pointing at you. Which is what our cars do.
I redid mine so the tweeters are pointing at each other and slightly down. With a good set of comps (Rainbow profi's) and good power (Eclipse) off an uber grade Head Unit (McIntosh) it sounded phenomenal.
Back to the OP.
That location isnt good its just to busy. The sail panels the best place in our cars, just need to hack them up and turn them into masterpieces. Otherwise the next best place is on the A pillars, about 4" from the bottom aiming at each other.
Thats it before I did the bondo and repainted them. Now I currently have the stock tweeters there again (sold out my equipment) and it sounds pretty good actually. Its all about location!

A few other places to try for another set of tweeters, if you must have them, would be all over the A pillars. Try changing the way they face, and different heights. You would be surprised how much the shape of your windshield comes into play when you are positioning tweeters around it
