Need Help Asap
My car has been running great for the last few month no problem until today
my buddy and I were cleaning are car at my house just washed the outside of the car just to shine it up clean it up really nice then I went to move the car and now it will not start ?????
before you answer here are some things to know
1) I only cleaned the outside of the car
2) the motor did not get wet
3) the only thing I touched inside was the dash and I just wiped it off that's it
4) the car was running great 30mins before I washed it
5) the car turns over so there lots of power
LAST THING TO KNOW IS NOW THE SECURITY LIGHT IS ON AND FLASHING ??
IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING WITH THIS LIGHT ??
PLEASE HELP ....

I'm not sure how that security reset works...its your security light...abuse the search button and search for security reset and other such keywords

do a search noob, this is a common problem in our cars, I never fixed it but others have done different things. it is the passlock module. maybe the manual tells you how to reset it, like leave key i accesory for 15 min, then try to start. When mine did it, I jumped the car and i guess the overage of power glitched the module and started. but again do a search and you will see try security light, passlock, locked out, blah blah

You tripped the security system.
Leave the key in the "ON" postion for 10 mintues and on the 11th minute the car should start

only problem now is my dash lights are not working ?

not to be a smartass, but try the dimmer, you probably , when wiping ur dash , hit the dimmer wheel (on left under vent)

yeah I did a quick look at them a few mins ago everything looked ok but now its getting kind of dark here so I will wait tell the morning
