well by work done to your car, i wouldnt let those shops paint my toilet

what you want done is very costly, the entire car should be gutted, like bumpers off, all sheet metal off, everything has to come off for a color change, in the engine compartment, i usally only remove what has to be removed to paint

every shop has different labor rates, my shop is 65 for body, 45 for paint, an hour we fix all dents, chips, scratches, everything is fixed, it would take close to a month, no rushing, the car is done when its done, leave us alone and let us do our job, we hate when people are always calling, and always coming by the shop

anyways.................the starting price around here anyways is 3,000 and it only goes up from there, its not an easy trade, i know i take pride in my work unlilke the guys in your area, effin hacks

but be prepared the final bill may go up to 4-5,000, so ya might want to think about a color change, and for the hood, if there are any good fabricators in your area why not make a steel hood, be different , make a one off hood, not buying custom in a box

even if you can call in a favor (like a friend of the family did) for a good paintjob, it still cost him 2k.
