this is the first car that ive had that has done this crap.
when i turn the hi beams off the low beams go off.
how do i fix it so when i turn the hi beams on, the lo beams stay on.. the hi beams by themself arnt any brighter than the lo beams, just shine in the frekin trees.
basically you cant.......thats how it comes from the factory, plus im pretty sure its illegal to have both on at the same time.........now I know people have talked about disable the drl's(drl = not allowing lights to be turned off while car is running unless parking brake is applied before you turn on the car and has to be left on.......im sure theres some kind of relay you could mess with to change this......
Your high beams are more bright than other cars that have the low beams stay on. The net effect is the same. Your best bet is to leave it as it is. You can make it do what you want by splicing some wires and whatnot, but all you're going to do is blind oncoming traffic. You won't gain any vis.
you should get an adjustment and/or new high beam bulbs. you seem to be the only one with this problem. right now my high beams are some i found at target for 5 bucks a pair. and they work great.
well i got some silverstars for the low beam and hibeam froma friend that didnt have a vehicle they fit in so i paid 5 bucks per pair for a total of 10 bucks, cheaper than teh oem ones, and then i put it on teh laser alignment level at work and realigned them, god there awesome now. tnx a bunch.
