Anyone have experience with pcms???

I'm new to aleromod and don't know a great deal about cars.
i know enough to do everyday things, but not too much when it comes to modding it out.
I'm 17 but do everything myself including earning the money to pay for all the stuff i do to my car. so sometimes prices can become an issue.
i was planning on getting a custom pcm from mpracing, but would atleast like to know somethings about them before i do.
and if anyone is from around the DFW area, you can pm me or give me a call on my cell. *Number removed for safety*
I'd love to meet up and possibly learn some things.
anyhow, thank you!!!

PCM's are a good upgrade but better if you have intake & exhaust first
Mostly likely you'll need a 180* thermo and def will have to run 91 octane or 93 octane

i run 91 octane anyhow, and i have an glasspax exhaust, and i planned on getting an CAI afterwards. jus takes me some time to save up for these things making it to where i can't jus go balls out all at once.
do you have any ideas or lil things that could also help out preformance wise that won't take massive chunks outta my wallet?

posting your phone number on a public orum isn't the greatest idea, say hello to the spammers/automated calls and random jackasses who decide to give your number to people and prank calling websites, etc.
putting 91 octane in an 87 octane tuned vehicle will do nothing but cost more money and make your fuel more resistant to burn. USELESS on an otherwise stock vehicle with the typical intake and exhaust

we custom tune PCMs based on info provided by the customer about their car so there is no need to use 91+ octane or a 180 tstat unless you already are or plan to.
DHP pcm users are required to run a CAI, 180 stat and 91+ octane however you can no longer aquire such an item as DHP is out of business

i think it sounds awsome.
it doesn't sound like those annoying fart cans (of coarse), and it actually has an nice rumble and deep sound to it.

True that, plus your MPG's will be slightly lower and the car will not run as good. You are already wasting money
