Well not to long ago I was having a problem with my dealer about covering some things that were wrong with my car under the warranty. The 2 main things were a steering rack and pinion and strut mounts. I finally got my extended warranty situation settled (they are refunding the full amount).

The question I need help with is I decided to take it to someone I trusted more than my dealer to get the work done also because it was a lot cheaper. After he took a look at my car he told me that my rack and pinion wasn't leaking like the dealer said and that he wouldnt change the strut mounts either. My problem is that my car seems to want to drift bad to the left and the front end squeaks when breaking and sometimes you can hear just when driving. I know something has to be wrong and he said he would rotate the tires and give the car an alignment. I got an alignment not to long ago because I thought that would fix the whole drifting left problem (which it didn't). Any suggestions on what else to check?

I had a similar problem droped a lot of money into it

First: the rim was leaking air (bent for 3 years then started leaking )
New rims and tires $950
Didn't fix

Second: alignment $100 didnt help

Third: new brakes total parts and labor $300 Didnt help

Fouth: Streering pump leak was overfilled scifoined by dealer free no leak found

Fifth: New struts and 4 wheel Alignment cost $700 parts and labor Problem fixed

Then the parking brake broke during installing struts: half warranty and half paid for $222.

Also check your tie rod ends. I was getting a bad vibration and my car would want to drift out when I was cornering, so I rotated and balanced the tires and had the alignment looked at. When I took it in to Goodyear for the alignment, they showed me that I had a bad tie rod on the left side. They replaced that, and since, no problems.

Well my brakes are less than a year old. An alignment didnt help. I replaced the struts when I lowered it not to long ago.

Maybe I could suggest they look at the steering pump and tie rod ends. Although I am not having any vibration problems.

I just found out I have another problem. When the dealer looked at my car they kept the adapter to get the lugs off and I called and they said they dont have them. LOL I guess its not as bad as having to replace the steering rack and pinion though.

You could also check the tie rod ends yourself. Just turn the front wheels to where you can get access to the back of the hub. Find where the tie rod meets the hub and shake it. If it is loose at all, your tie rod end is bad.
