New Project
idk if anyone has done it or not, but i just ordered the strip leds i need to do this..
i am making audi R8 inspired led headlights, like the strip led that goes along the bottom,,
while i install those i am also putting in bright white leds in the corner bulb and big amber one.. the led strip will be wired into the big bulb to be on all the time and with the turn signal flash...
i will also be painting a litle more of the headlight bezel, and the led strips are black so they will be hidden nicely not standing out...
what you guys think? i will have pics up as i do it...
oh and HID foglight kit to match the low beams is on the way for christmas

post some mock pics (photoshop) or drawing. I know what your talking about but sometimes seeing the final product may help in determining if its the look you want.
on the surface i would say hell yea, I like that look, but I think those LEDs are larger like maybe the size of a 194?

are you refering to the led strips? cause they are smooth to the touch the bulbs dont stick out and they are bright as hell...and the corner is a 194 and the amber one is getting a 25 led bulb from superbright led.com you can go on and look at them

no I mean the strip on the audis, they are like only 6 or 7 LEDs but i guess they are larger then a normal sized LED, or are they clusters of several?

i think they just stick out... theses arent meant to be replica just inspired by...
the led strip will go across the whole bottomof the bezel or at least most of it...
those along with the HID and LED lights the strip will look in place.. worste case it doesnt work i un do it no biggy... i think it will look good
it wont be hard either maybe 2 hours not including dry time.. i have had them apart before if you notice my profile pic the corners are clear lol
and im removing the front plate and braket so it will look even cleaner

Also, once you get them installed, play around with them for a look that would suit it best. Like, if they don't look right on the bottom try them on the top.
