the type s 6X9's are awesome for loudness and clearness...but don't go looking for any bass from these...that's why u get a sub anyways right?...and it'd be a good idea to amp it too, they sound good just on the HU, but it's never enough.... :thumbsup:

Alpine has several lines of speakers, (S,R,X,) and are you talking about subs too? or just the speakers....

well the e was only the cheepo subs...
i beleave they are still makin em, and the s, r and x's
But the xtype speakers have been around fer a bit

So you are talking about Type X speakers?
I ask because most retailers do not carry type x,because of the cost of them...
You have prolly seen type R speakers.. they are exelent,
And if you are talking about the type x's, i would like someone to post some comparable speaks... cus they are awsome lol

I am was talkin about the Type-R. HOw are the subs? The 6x9's or the 5 1/4? Do these subs hit hard or nah? Im am talking about the 12's.
