Power T400-4
Recently bought one, hooked it up love it to death. My PVC says 83 x 4 @ 4ohm and 138 x 4 @ 2ohm.
I have Punch 5.25 seperates up front rated at 60 rms for the woofer and tweeter. It took about a week but they blew, gain is only on 5. Then I hooked up a cheap dollar set, gone on the first song. I also installed some Prime tweeters, again after a week gone.
One of my questions is what is my amp seeing? 2 or 4 ohm? The woofer has two sets of voice coils one for the input and the other is the output for the tweeter. Both woofer and tweeter are 4 ohm. If it is seeing 2 ohm then that would make sense why tweeters would blow, its too much power, but if not then im lost.
I don't necessarily abuse my equipment but I do push it. If I just need to invest in some new speakers for the front that can handle the power then ill do that. I would like the POWER components but am unsure if I will blow those tweeters as well, I do not want to wire them to the radio.
