Valley olds is an unknown quantity at this point
I have heard many mixed views on drilled rotors with some saying they are good, and some saying they are not. Personally, I did not really notice much of a difference after I installed mine.

If you do want drilled rotors though, I would go for something better. Brakes are not something you should go cheap on.

I got the summit brand rotors that some people have recommended here. A lot of people on this forum use the R1 rotors. Personally, I like the summit rotors more because of their curved vanes rather than the straight R1 rotor vanes.

Ion also mentioned these in another thread about rotors. They seem ok. http://brakeperformance.com/site/bra...1410&ad=google

Like mentioned here, and a couple times before in this forum though, do not go the cheap route with brakes.

you could get lucky tho. i bought the ebay special rotors and pads, for about the same price as that set up. that was close to 40k miles ago, and i still have over half of my pads left, and never had an issue with braking. but had i had the funds or knowledge, i would have definitely gone with something better, most likely summit brand.

Rotors from Summit are a very good value. IMHO drilled is over-rated whereas slotted does make a difference. Check/replace all the caliper hardware too.

I've been very happy with my summit rotors.

Yeah there is something with the car and brakes wearing down. It's call wear and EVERY car on the road that's a dd will require front brakes every 18 to 30 months. That's life

Ryan from Ohio will become famous soon enough
I got the drilled/slotted R1 concepts and ceramic pads from Auto Zone (gold level).

The pads from Autozone carry a lifetime warranty, even wear... So I dont ened to buy front pads ever again.

The R1 Rotors seem to be doing good in my car.

DO NOT buy the cheap "valucraft" rotors at Autozone. The metal is junk...
