Im going to explain this quick and easy; My radio (aftermarket) does not shut off after i take the keys out and open the door. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Thanks.

Well its not wired to accessory... you have it connected directly to straight power source. Theres usually a yellow one and a red(or orange). One goes to straight power, another one to accessories, I believe you have them switched.

The thing that confuses me to no end is it always shut off before a couple days ago. My battery is dying and my cruise doesnt work. I recently got LED Lights for my whole rear lighting except the turn signals. I should probably get rid of those, huh?
UPDATE: I just got back from driving and i park my car, take the key out of the ignition and open my door, BAM! Radio shuts off. My head hurts.

So, if this happens again (which i hope it doesn't) i should check the yellow, red or orange wire and see what its connected to?
Thank You a lot Vic, i was about to rip it out blindly and hope i did something right. LOL

i prefer it to stay connected to the direct power. i just got in the habit of making sure its off before i get out. but its nice to have it playing when outside the car with the car off. works whenever you want it to

When you were opening the door, did the domelights turn on??
When it's doing that trying turning it off and leaving the keys in the ignition.. does it beep at you? (wait.. actually it wouldn't I guess since the radio gets rid of the chimes.. nevermind)
Check the domelights. Sounds like problem with the driver's door latch sensor thingy.
Also.. get a new battery. Dead batteries stir up all kinds of trouble.

Clutch,
The chimes still work because of the harness i have. I can't quite remember the dome lights on or off to be honest. And the problem with the battery is that i just bought it not even a year ago so i'll be upset if i have to buy a new one.

Ah well then yes, see if it chimes with the key in and/or headlights on.
Also... the battery should be under warranty. I killed the one in my Aurora cuz it ran dry like 15 times (sticky power antenna relay not turning off) and got a new one from Autozone for free cuz I still had the receipt... it was only like 15 months old, no questions asked

Yeah, the chimes remind me when i leave my keys in or forget to put on my seatbelt. So its working correctly... For now..
