Dome Lamp, can't reinstall

Hi Folks,
its been a loong time since I last posted. Didn't have any probs with my little girl.

But I was cleaning her today and I thought I give this dome lamp a closer look. Left right, clack clack off it was.
But now I have the problem that I can't put it back up again.

The black reinforcement and the dome lamp assembly are in perfect condition. I just can't figure out how to snap the lamp assembly back into the reinforcement in the headliner.
Everytime I push the lamp up the reinforcement just budges away, and if I clip 'em together before hand, I can't get it through the opening in the headliner.

Please help

You can try a string around the top on of the base snap thingy inside the headliner. Pull down on the string as pushing up on the dome light (gentely) and listen for the snaps. Then gentely pull out the string.

I used a nylon strap from a pallet in work. It was round and kinda thin, but strong. I would think a shoelace would work. You want something thin

Will try it with the string again, this time trough more holes in the base. Maybe I just wasn't lucky today.

on the side of the plastic cover there should be a lil slot on each side parralell to each other it will take a little force but be carefull take your time cause its only plastic it will break all you need is a small flat head to be able to pry it
