Proper LED Load Resistor Install
Hey guys I was wondering if u could answer a question I had. I recently bought and received some 60 SMD LED Switchback Turn Signals. I bought 50 watt (6OHM) inline load resistors and they didn't want to work both negative facing the bulb and positive so I took em out. I would like ti get rid of the hyperflash asap! Anyone know why they didn't work or if there is a trick, let me know as soon as u guys can!! (They were hooked up to the blue signal wires)

Wait..so did you wire them in parallel with the bulb? Also are they for the front? The fronts are 3157s so one end of the resistor needs to go to the negative wire and one part needs to go to the turn signal wire.. not the running light part of the turn signal.. I can't remember what colour they are. If you have a haynes manual it'll help you find which color you need.

No lol. Its equivalent to having the factory bulbs in there. The resistor is there to simulate the current draw effects of an incandesant light bulb because the LEDs have such a low current draw, your car thinks the bulb is out and thats why it hyperflashes.

I just went to visit my mechanic (Lisenced for 36 years) and he told me to put the positive lead on the signal wire and the negative lead on the negative wire and the LED's work perfectly! I was not told to wire the lights this way because it wouldn't work.. I was told to splice into the signal wire positive facing down and negative facing the bulb, that doesn't make sense tho because there would be nothing for it to ground too.. Either way the problem is solved and the lights look amazing! I appreciate your input in trying to fix the issue though  Have a Merry Christmas man and a Happy New Year!

Nah, bloody tail light is one pig tail that plugs into a giant circuit.
No seperate connectors for tail lights.
The kicker is that this stupid thing likes to let water in too

so what do you do for bulbs? do you have to replace the entire circuit?

Nah, the bulbs can be removed separately, but you have no access to any individual wires. They click into the circuit itself.
