would cutting out my resonator make a difference in sound and perforance?

so yes, you will get a better sound but only if you replace the res with a straight pipe and put the gagt muffler in place of your stock one I have had numerous complements on my exhaust and everyone thinks its aftermarket. they are stunned when i tell them the muffler is OEM!
