Are you sure that's the problem?
I had this problem and it turned out in was the plugs misfiring, I also replaced the fuel filter.
Since then my fuel pump broke, costing me over $500 to fix

and now my ses light is on but that is because of my downstream o2 which isn't reading right due to the 3" cat I have. On hard accel, the fuel will cut out becuase the PCM is getting confused.
The 2 o2's read the same, everything's cool, but if one reads a lot differant that the other, it will dump too much fuel or not enough. At idel, you can smell the fuel, at WOT while cruising, it cuts out big time, then picks back up. It feels like the tranny doesn't shift right, but if that was the case with my car, the motor would rev, and hit the next gear hard.
When I get my RSM heads, I'm redoing the entire exhaust anyway :thumbsup:
