I am really starting to regret that I purchased an Alero.

I've had 5 problems that were replaced under warranty in the last 2 years.

Anyways.. My newest issue.

I took my car in to the dealership because my right front strut broke again (for the 3rd time and its always the front right) - I'm not a crazy mainiac driver... but they break all the time. Anyways they fixed it and its all great. Or so I thought.. every time I go over a bump, or acclerate from zero I hear a creaky/rolling sound (like marbles rolling around). So I took it to the dealer again, they looked at it, and then pretty much said it's my imagination and sent me on my way.

I'm not imagining things... I hear it. I've noticed a change in the car that I drive... I should know how it sounds... I've been driving it since 02' and I've never heard this "creak" sound before. Something has changed or broke.

I remember somebody saying on here saying that oiling a strut component might help... but I can't find the thread.

Also... just today when I turn my car on I hear an odd sound (sort of like a knocking) right as it turning on. This sound also occurs when I move the shifter from Park to Reverse and then to drive. I'm taking it in tomorrow for this problem.

Any ideas on what that could be???
Probably something expensive like an engine component or transmission thing.

1) Your struts are rattling. I've had that happen a few times. Lubricating the strut mounts (the rubber thinger at the top of your strut tower) seems to help for a while

2) I believe there is a TSB for the transmission growling in park, I'll see if I can find that again...
