Are you thinking along the lines of painting or something else. If you want to paint them there are some pages in the how-to section that will help you out.

I am not painting them, I am looking for a complete change and was thinking of fiberglassing with some pvc 2 1/2' which is rotational for dictional purposes but was wondering if anyone else had an idea as I am not very good with the fiber glass

then you should probably let someone with experience do it or your going to have to buy all of the parts over again that you screwed up.

Yeah, if you aren't skilled with fiberglassing I wouldn't reccomend working on something small like this. I found that its easier to do larger projects with fiberglass cuz small blemishes hide better than on small profjects. I would either paint them or maybe even see if someone will put a CF skin on them. But redoing the vent would mean you would probably have to redo the dash as well. There would be a LOT of work involved. Not a good project for a beginner.

Ok so I went to a hardware store last night, this is my idea, you ever see the venting in a nissan maxima or audi tt, they are spin dial venting, VERY easy to do, some 2' pvc, slotted then aluminum vent fins locked in, a 2' chrome bezel cap, you only need about 10degrees movement to adjust the direction of flow, with a straigh piece of pipe, and a 45 off of that with a screw adapter you can get the movement without screwing or unscrewing the screw, now I know the pipe isnt gonna fit nice inside the existing vent, both on the dash ind connection to the heat ducting itseld, for the dash part I was thinging of fine wire mesh whit white silicon to hold it in, as for the proper connection to the heat ducting inside the dash, what do ya think duct tape is for, the problem i am having is that you will be able to see through the mesh into the dash, and that's ugly, I could double it up but I think to much of the wire mesh is gonna look tacky, (this is to fill the gaps around the 2' ) as for my foglight and dimmer switch that can easily be moved to the useless little cubby holder thing just below.
So I am still wondering about the mesh, or fibregalssing a piece to fit or possibly white aluminum, I dunno
Feedback!!!
LOL
