Front Defrost Vent

so for my front defrost i have one giant vent. any know if this just snaps out? or do i have to take the whole dash out to get at it?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking that the whole dash cover needs to be removed. Reason I say this is because of the HOW-TO with regards to the ACL mod. The light sensor is located to the far left inside that vent, and removing the dash is what's needed to get to it.

what are you tryin to get at? just under the top cover, or to the actual vent? cuz the its just a cover sittin by the windshield, but under that its the dash...trust me, i been there twice for painting purposes...
