Friday night was Midnight Madness down at Gateway, 10 bucks to watch, 20 to run your car. Me and my buddy Dustin went up there to see his buddy Ricky run his 91 S-10 with a 383, and Rickys Dad run his bike. Not only that, but an annoying poophead that comes into AZ all the time and bugs us about his POS civic.
Anywhoo, Dustin and I are strolling along the car lineup drinkin beer checking out the cars, and I see a goldish alero sedan that has some mods done to it, I dunno who it is, but I figure hes heard of this site considering the gauge pod, and the dash overlays. After a few more beers, I go over and talk to him (Too sober to talk to someone I don't know). Find out hes got a 75 shot of nitrous on it, and sure enough hes a member of the forums.
Now, Dustin and I were curious what the civic dude would run, cause hes always saying its hot poop up at AZ, saying its got a motorswap, and should run 14's. Yeah, 1.5 liter non vtec swap. Anyways, he runs a 20.6 with a 3.5 second 60 foot time.
Next up was the Alero, ran a 14.3. I was kinda impressed, cause i think thats the only thing he has done to it besides exhaust. I dunno if he had an intake, like I said, I was drunk.
Ricky's dad ran 9 seconds at 150mph on his bike. He used to have a 50 shot of nitrous on it, and it would run in the 7's, but he blew 3 motors before 6k miles. Now it just has a built motor.
The s-10 ran a 11.6, it was pretty sweet seeing a pretty rough looking truck run that fast. Its a well built truck with a full roll cage, it just looks bad on the outside.
The highlight of the night was 2 15 passenger vans from a baptist church that dragged against each other, they ran 17's and 18's respectively. Kinda funny seeing a 1 ton van run faster then a honda, hehe. :lol2:
I got video's of everything, I just need to get 'em uploaded. The commentary of Dustin and I is quite great, especially when Ricky staged with his rear tires.

He was, I saw the decals.
Names, aren't important, numbers are. Guy's can go to a bar, and remember a girls figure 10 years later, but they sure won't remember her name. Similar thing, I guess.

doesn't that screw up the air/fuel ratio and make your car run like crap?

i was told that when a svs or ses light comes on, it "retards" your car by dumping way more fuel...or something like that...

and why not use a wet shot, that dry shot could be the end of your engine........
but 14.3 is pretty respectable for what you got.
