Hissing/squealing

The noise only happens occasionally. When it's in the mood for it, it only does so when I'm coastin under 40mph, and doesn't when I'm hard on the throttle, or on the brakes (even lightly on the brakes). It's really freaking loud, and it's rather embarrassing. It rides exactly the same though, just louder. lol

Got any ideas what it may be?

if its not worn brake pads, i remember mine did the same thing. it ended up being the little metal pieces that the brake pad tabs slide into to hold them in place. the bottom of those metal pieces on mine were rubbing on the top of the rotor as the car moved. i took off the wheel and the top part of the caliper (like you do when changing a brake pad) and took out the metal piece and bent the little tab that was rubbing up and out of the way. problem solved.

I think it is worn brake pads. lol...stopped hissing...now it's grinding. Good thing I already have replacement parts. Now I just need a day off to install them.
