mod my 5 speed 03 alero

what's good everyone....
i just added my intake & an exhaust by monza...def. feel the extra power & sounds GREAT...while at the shop we found a chip for my car costing $400(not sure from where)....should give me 40-45 more HP... is it worth it??? can i find it cheaper anywhere else??? right now i am sitting at 150 or so HP....let me know guys..

read more about dhp and the like with the search function. Stay around a while and youll learn a lot.

it's a 5 speed so DHP is not an option. It's modded to 150, so It has to be and Ecotec. There is no way you would be able to 40 hp from a chip. Check out HPTuners.

Personally, I would spend another $100 and get the stage 3 ecu friendly cams from jbp that will give you an honest 20 whp.

how deep are your pockets? once you start talking boost or internals it gets expensive...
