Question trunk rattle

I was wondering if anyone could help me out? When i have the subs on, my trunk lid rattles really bad. i have figured out it is the part right above the license plate where it says "Alero". That is the part that is rattling really bad. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? thanks

same thing happened to me, i bought some dynamat and cut out several peices and put them right behind the alero symbol on the trunk, i took out my licence plate light and put a few layers of dynamat behind it, fixed it pretty good, i mean there is still a little rattle, BUT NOTHING compared to what it used to sound like.

Just look on car audio websites for dynamat, i got it from a local stereo place for $20, u can probably get some off ebay.

Go to home depot or Lowes and buy this stuff called "Peel 'n' Seal" it should be in the roofing department. Its the same stuff as Dynamat just not nearly as think so you have to use a few more layers to get the same results.

But its 40 bux a roll and there is 40 sq. ft. to a roll is its much cheaper then dynamat. I used 225 sq ft. in my Nova and talk about little to no road noise at all.

For really tight area's you cant get sound deadening into you can also use alittle bit of expanding foam. I stress alittle bit because the metal on our cars isnt very thick and you dont wanna put to much in and take the chance of warping the body. This is something i never had to worry about on my Nova cause the metal was way thicker. But it worked like a charm!
